As we enter these difficult times, we are going to do our best to support our students' education. We will be using this website as a central hub for all things Grade 1.

At the top of the page you will find the different subject area headers. We ask that you try to work through the Math & Language Arts activities as best you can. "Extras" will contain Art, Health, Science and Physical Education activities (please note that these are not a requirement). Each Week we will be posting assignments and curriculum supports to use for the entire week.

Also in the Navigation bar, you will find "Learning Links". Here you will see links to some of our favourite websites like Teach Your Monster To Read, Vooks, Scholastic, Etc.

It is important that families have some form of internet access and a device for the weekly updates. If you do not have access to a printer to print the daily activities, that is okay. You may choose to have your child complete some of the activities orally (such as phonics activities) or complete them on a separate sheet of paper, in an interlined notebook (such as writing sentences for JoAnne Moore, Journals and Writing Wizards) or on a mini whiteboard. Not all activities must be completed. We are providing an opportunity for you to help your child continue to progress. Work at their pace.
