Wu Zeng, MD, MS, PhD, a Health Economist, is an Associate Professor and Research Director at the Department of International Health, Georgetown University. I am also an adjunct faculty at the Heller School for Social Policy and Management, Brandeis University.
My research focuses on health economics, health financing, health system strengthening, costing, cost-effectiveness analysis, and economic modeling of health issues in both developed and developing countries. The sponsors of my research include the Centers of Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), UNAIDS, World Bank, WHO, UNICEF, UNFPA, as well as private foundations such as the Gates Foundation and Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, and governments of some developing countries. I have conducted research in more than 20 countries, including China, Gambia, Haiti, Rwanda, The Republic of the Congo, Singapore, and the United States.
At Georgetown, I teach courses in health economics and data analytics and visualization. At Brandeis, I taught Health Financing, Econometrics, Applied Regression, Cost-Effectiveness Analysis, Economic Evaluation, and Epidemiology. Prior to Brandeis, I taught at Shanghai Jiao Tong Unversity School of Medicine.
I received a medical degree and a Master's degree in Epidemiology from Fujian Medical University, China and obtained a Master's degree and a PhD degree in Social/Health Policy from Brandeis University.
