GWIA Writing Workshop

Join GWIA for our next professional development event: a writing workshop with Professor Joyce Mushaben on "How to Finesse Your Final Papers." The workshop aims to strengthen participants’ writing skills and help them craft clear, compelling arguments. Attendees must bring a printed draft of a thesis statement (ca. 5 sentences) for a project they wish to work on during the workshop.

Prof. Mushaben is an affiliated faculty member in the BMW Center for German & European Studies and the Institute for International Migration at Georgetown University. She also works with Gender5 Plus, an EU feminist think-tank. Her research topics include European Union developments, citizenship and migration policies, and women’s leadership. She has written an extensive list of publications, including several books and monographs, and serves as an Editorial Board Member of several academic journals. She has guest lectured at more than 35 institutions of higher learning, including Harvard, Cornell, Carnegie Mellon, Berlin’s Free University, the College of Europe, Sciences Po, and the London School of Economics (LSE).
