Student Researcher
Sylvie is a senior in the School of Health studying Global Health and concurrently pursuing an Accelerated Master of Science in Global Health. Her academic interests center on program evaluation and effectiveness research, with a particular focus on maternal and child health in low-resource settings. She is especially interested in examining the social and environmental drivers of maternal mental health and their implications for early childhood development. She has been actively involved in the RESTORE project in Senegal, where she has further developed her interests in implementation research and global mental health.
On campus, Sylvie serves as a club leader for UNICEF Georgetown, supporting the mission and activities of UNICEF USA through advocacy and engagement initiatives. She is also a Graduate Teaching Assistant for a Global Maternal and Child Health course, supporting undergraduate instruction and learning. Through her academic, research, and leadership experiences, she is committed to advancing evidence-based, equitable solutions to improve maternal and child health outcomes globally
