Raju Ahmed is a Geomorphologist and Hydrology Specialist with a strong interdisciplinary background in geoscience, hydrology, geomorphology, and environmental assessment. Currently working at AtkinsRéalis, a globally recognized engineering and professional services organization. He combines advanced geospatial technologies with scientific research to better understand environmental systems, hydrological processes, and geohazards.  Over the years, Raju has contributed to research, consulting, and environmental initiatives through collaborations with several respected organizations, including the University of British Columbia (UBC), World Wildlife Fund Canada, the Red Cross Red Crescent Climate Centre, and other institutions. Since 2016, he has built a diverse professional and academic career focused on innovation, sustainability, and evidence-based environmental solutions.  

Mr. Ahmed completed his second MSc degree in Geography at the University of British Columbia, where his research specialized in Geoscience, Geomorphology, and Hydrology. Prior to this, he earned both his BSc and first MSc degrees in Geography and Environment from Jahangirnagar University, Bangladesh.  His research focuses on the application of advanced geospatial and analytical technologies, including Drones, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Remote Sensing (RS), geostatistics, and machine learning, to investigate geomorphological and hydrological dynamics. His work particularly emphasizes flood analysis, environmental monitoring, climate resilience, and extreme-event assessment.  

He has authored and co-authored more than 19 peer-reviewed journal articles, presented six research papers at international conferences, and currently has multiple manuscripts under review. His work reflects a deep commitment to scientific excellence, interdisciplinary collaboration, and the advancement of geographical and environmental sciences.
