Scholar Program Requirements
Academic Requirements
High School - Take Honors, AP, IB or Cambridge courses as appropriate; Maintain a 3.3 or better weighted GPA each year in the program
Reach out to your GenOne Staff as soon as you feel lost or are struggling
Share and release your PowerSchool Login, PSAT, SAT and ACT results with GenOne Staff
Participation Requirements
Participation in all Clubs and Advising activities are required:
Attend and participate in the following activities
GenOne After School Clubs (70% attendance)
East Meck High School Afterschool (Tuesday’s 2:30pm-4:30pm)
Garinger High School Afterschool (Wednesday’s 2:30pm-4:30pm)
GenOne Advising (100% attendance)
All Academic and College Advising appointments
All cohort meetings (Ex: ACT prep, jr/sr cohort meetings, etc)
Special events (Ex: Application Bootcamp, End of Year Family Celebration, etc)
College Tours & Experiences
Attend at least 2 college tours and 1 additional experience per year
Navigator Nights
If you are matched with a Navigator, you are expected to attend
Extracurricular and Summer Opportunities
High School Scholars agree to find and participate in at least one meaningful extracurricular AND summer activity annually
Communication Requirements - Two-Way Communication
It is extremely important that you respond to outreach from GenOne Staff
As a GenOne scholar, you agree to:
When a GenOne message states [RESPONSE REQUESTED], respond promptly (within 24 hours)
Download Communication Apps: Remind, Gmail, Google Calendar (HS - and Google Classroom)
Check your GenOne Remind and email at least 2x/week.
