Action Civics is a student-centered, experiential practice in which young people learn about the political process by taking action on specific issues in their communities. Learn about the Action Civics process and its outcomes.

Generation Citizen, an Action Civics nonprofit, spoke with school district administrators who work with social studies across the country to understand how civics education is implemented. We learned the challenges they face, what has facilitated the implementation, and what would be useful to them as they introduce, and improve civics, and specifically Action Civics, in their districts. We found that there is a universal desire, yet little opportunity, for collaboration between leaders in different districts across the country. This platform is intended to create that opportunity.
