6th grade students explored the dichotomy of adventure and survival, both important parts of what it means to be human and to rely on the environment. After researching early cultures and discovering different aspects of civilizations, students applied what they learned to the school community at GEMS. Their handbook on how to survive middle school was written, published, and shared with upper elementary school students.
