Dear GIS Families,

As we approach the final three weeks of our first term, I want to take a moment to reflect on the many wonderful things happening across our school community and to thank all of you for your continued partnership and support.

UAE National Day

We are very much looking forward to celebrating UAE National Day on Monday 24th November, this occasion holds deep significance as we come together to honour the heritage, unity, and vision of the nation we proudly call home. Our heartfelt thanks go to the parents who have generously contributed their time and efforts to help us organise this special celebration. Your involvement strengthens the cultural richness of the day and ensures it remains a meaningful experience for our students.

GIS WinterFest

Just two days later, on Wednesday 26th November, we will come together again for our GIS WinterFest. This event has been brought to life with the support and creativity of our parent association (GISPA), and we extend our sincere appreciation to everyone involved. We look forward to a joyful evening where families, students, and staff can connect, celebrate, and enjoy the spirit of togetherness that defines GIS.

Drone Soccer Challenge Success

We are also incredibly proud to share some exciting news, GEMS International School has won First Place at the Drone Soccer Challenge 2025! The competition, held on the 8th of November at GEMS Al Khaleej International School, featured eight teams from across Dubai. Our students demonstrated outstanding teamwork, technical expertise, and innovation, an achievement that reflects their dedication and the strong support system around them. Congratulations to our winning team; you have made us all proud.

Communication - Parent Survey

As we continue to grow as a school and as a leadership team, one of our priorities is to streamline and strengthen our communication channels with parents. We want these systems to be clear, consistent, and responsive to your needs. I have truly appreciated meeting many of you personally following the New Parent Survey, and I intend for this dialogue to remain ongoing. Your feedback is invaluable as we refine our processes and ensure that our decisions reflect what matters most to our families.

To help us understand what has worked well this term and what could be improved, we kindly ask all parents to complete the survey linked below. Your voice plays a crucial role in shaping our direction. We are committed to creating an environment where feedback is welcomed, acted upon, and embedded into our planning; because our goal is always to serve your children better.

Strategic Parent Forum

As part of this commitment, we are establishing a Strategic Parent Forum, which will involve parents directly in key discussions and school development initiatives. If you would be interested in joining this group, please indicate your interest within the survey. We look forward to building this collaborative platform as we move forward together.
