Special Olympics Basketball Kamloops Regional Tournament
Special Olympics Basketball of Kamloops is hosting a Regional tournament on April 12 and 13, 2024 at NorKam Secondary School. The organizing committee is looking for volunteers to referee and or score keep games for this tourney. The games are 45 to 50 minutes long and come with some adaptions to simplify the game for all involved. If you have not been involved in, or experienced a "Special Olympics" event you have missed out. Special O athletes are dedicated and work very hard at their skills. More importantly this is a very important event for the athletes' social development and rekindling of friendships with other athletes in the Okanagan region. Any help from new volunteers for this event would be most appreciated by care givers, parents and most importantly the athletes. You would be rewarded with the biggest smiles known to the athletic world. :)
