AVID District Director Portal - Professional Learning

District Directors inform and support their district’s plan for AVID professional learning in alignment with district initiatives. There are many professional learning resources and opportunities available to support districts in deepening their AVID implementation to improve their college and career readiness systems. AVID District Directors facilitate their district's and their AVID sites' engagement and use of these resources.

These are modules to guide District Directors in training people from their district to facilitate professional learning sessions.

District Directors should utilize the Highly Skilled AVID Facilitator interactive content to help identify staff to be trained.

The Preparing to Facilitate AVID Professional Learning Modules (APLMs) content can then be used to train identified staff. During this training, participants will learn to use the AVID Professional Learning Modules in a manner that models AVID Professional Learning Practices (APLPs) and is consistent with AVID's quality expectations.

The Aligning Goals to District Facilitated Professional Learning APLM is designed for district or site teams to engage in selecting APLMs that are most aligned to their goals.
