About
Defying tradition and finding one's inner strength took center stage in 2017 with our production of Mulan Jr. Based on the legendary Chinese tale and the Disney animated film, this performance followed Mulan’s courageous journey to bring honor to her family by disguising herself as a soldier. Our cast embraced the challenging vocal arrangements and the responsibility of bringing this story of bravery and identity to our community.
This production was a massive showcase of Creativity and detail, from the student-led choreography of the Huns' training sequences to the vibrant costume designs representing the different ancestral spirits. The success of the show required seamless Collaboration between the performers and the stage crew to manage the fast-paced transitions between the village and the mountain battlegrounds. It was a powerful performance that highlighted the resilience and Panther Pride of our drama department. 💙
