About
The Gowanda stage was transformed into a world of pure imagination for our 2012 production of Willy Wonka Jr. This whimsical performance followed the journey of Charlie Bucket and four other Golden Ticket winners through the mysterious gates of Wonka’s Chocolate Factory. Our students embraced the challenge of bringing these iconic, larger-than-life characters to the stage, blending comedic timing with a sense of wonder.
The production was a major showcase of Creativity, particularly in the imaginative set design and colorful costumes required for the Oompa-Loompas and the various "invention rooms." This show relied on heavy Collaboration between the performers and the student-led tech crew to execute the magical effects and fast-paced transitions that define the Wonka story. It was a sweet and spirited production that highlighted the talent and Panther Pride of our drama department. 💙
