About
The sun came out in the Gowanda auditorium for our 2009 production of Annie Jr. This heartwarming adaptation of the classic Broadway musical followed the journey of a plucky orphan determined to find her parents in 1930s New York City. Our students captured the grit and optimism of the era, delivering iconic musical numbers with vocal confidence and spirited energy.
The production was a showcase of student Creativity, particularly in the set designs that transitioned from the drab Miss Hannigan’s orphanage to the opulence of the Warbucks mansion. This show required significant Collaboration between our lead performers and a large ensemble of orphans, all working together to master the choreography and character-driven humor that makes this story a favorite. It was a classic performance that celebrated hope, resilience, and Panther Pride. 💙
