About
In 1993, the Gowanda stage journeyed to Sherwood Forest for the legendary tale of Robin Hood. This production brought the classic story of the outlaw hero and his Merry Men to life, pitting them against the Sheriff of Nottingham in a battle for justice and the people. Our students embraced the swashbuckling energy of the show, mastering stage combat and archery-themed choreography while delivering a timeless message of bravery and standing up for what is right.
The production was a major showcase of Creativity, particularly in the elaborate forest sets and medieval-style costumes. Bringing a legendary hero to life required intense Collaboration between the principal cast and a large ensemble of Merry Men and townspeople. It was a high-energy performance that demonstrated the talent and Panther Pride of the early 90s, setting a high bar for the years to come. 💙
