About
In 1992, the Gowanda stage was filled with the quiet beauty and natural wonder of the forest for our production of Bambi. This classic coming-of-age story followed the young prince of the forest as he learned the lessons of life, loss, and the changing seasons. Our students faced the unique challenge of portraying forest animals through stylized movement and expressive performance, creating a touching and visually memorable experience for the audience.
The production was a beautiful example of Creativity, specifically in how the cast used costume and gesture to evoke the spirit of the woodland creatures. Collaboration was key to creating the atmospheric transitions of the forest, from the joy of spring to the intensity of the fire. It was a heartfelt performance that showcased the sensitivity and Panther Pride of our early 90s performers, proving that even the gentlest stories can leave the biggest impact. 💙
