I am a tenure-track assistant professor at the University of Utah studying reductive p-adic groups, their representation theory, and connections to the Langlands program.
Before Utah, I was a postdoc in Bonn (2022–2025) and Cambridge (2021–2022), a graduate student in Michigan (2016–2021), and an undergraduate at Brown (2012–2016).
My last name rhymes with "clean", unlike the German pronunciation. In one-on-one interactions you are welcome to just call me "David".
