Living Traditions is one of the club's biggest fundraisers of the year and we need your help! We need volunteers before, during, and after the festival. The work we do at the Living Traditions Festival each year earns a good percentage of the club’s annual budget! If you are a member and you are trying to get more involved in the club, this is the event to meet and get to know the people in the club! It's not just work, it is a fun environment and you can walk around the festival to see all of the different cultures represented at the festival.

Living Traditions Weekend
The Booth
The most help is needed on the actual weekend of the Living Traditions festival. We will need booth workers on all three days. We will split each day into 2 shifts that are about 4 hours in a day. The numbers below are the number of workers we need for each shift. We need about 15-17 people in the booth for each shift. The first shift will help set up and get things ready for the day. The last shift of each day will be asked to help clean up and secure the booth for the night. The numbers above represent 2 workers actively working in the booth for each job and a backup person for each job that will rotate. Hopefully we will have enough helpers that each person can take at least a 1-hour break during their shift. Here is a list of the jobs when working at the booth:
“Front of the House”
· Front booth workers (3)
o Taking orders and money
· Food runner (3)
o Picking up the food from cooks and delivering to the customers at the front
· Churro Sugar (3)
o Picking up the hot trays of churros from the churro frying staff and coating them with sugar then packaging the churros into the individual trays for the customers
“Back of the House”
· Chorizo and Croqueta Cooks (3)
· Churro Fryers (3-4)
· Errand Runner (1)
o Pick up foods from the central refrigerated truck
o Helping with whatever issues may come up
Clean up Crews
Last Shift of Day
If you are scheduled for the final shift of any day, please help secure the booth for the night.
Sunday (Last Day of Festival)
We need people to be at the booth at the end of the festival to help break down the booth and load our things back into the trailer. If you are scheduled during the last shift on Sunday, please try to stay and help clean up the booth and load the trailer if possible.
Post Festival Help Clean up
The Monday after the Living Traditions Festival, we need help with cleaning our equipment and taking it back to the storage unit. We will need a group of people to meet at a club member’s house on May 22nd.
