ASPIRE Social Studies
ASPIRE social studies classes adhere to standards set by the TEKS, the College Board, the Texas State Plan for the Education of Gifted/Talented Students, and the National Association for Gifted Children's Programming Standards. TEA's Advanced Academics Curriculum Evaluation (AACE) Checklist was used to evaluate the AP curriculum provided for each course. Areas of weakness were intentionally strengthened, and those details are addressed in the AACE section of each unit document. When appropriate, the Parallel Curriculum Model was utilized as the organizing framework to outline the integration of the various standards met in these courses.
