ASPIRE ELA adheres to standards set by the TEKS, the Texas State Plan for the Education of Gifted/Talented Students, and the National Association for Gifted Children's Programming Standards. The Parallel Curriculum Model and the Depth & Complexity Framework are utilized in units and/or lessons to ensure that the curriculum meets the needs of highly gifted students. In addition, ELA and social studies are integrated when possible.
