Mathematical Models with Applications is designed to build on the knowledge and skills for mathematics in Kindergarten-Grade 8 and Algebra I. This mathematics course provides a path for students to succeed in Algebra II and prepares them for various post-secondary choices. In preparation for higher mathematics, students will apply mathematical modeling in the fields of personal finance, science and engineering, fine arts, and social sciences. Use of mathematical processes to acquire and demonstrate mathematical understanding are emphasized. Students are expected to use these processes together with graphing calculator technology and other mathematical tools to develop conceptual understandings and solve problems.
