The scope of this course will include prerequisite tasks in the areas of physical, economic and cultural geography concepts. Students will be provided opportunities to locate and describe major landforms and features of the earth as well as major natural resources of the world. Emphasis will be placed on understanding the impact that the environment has on social, cultural and economic life in a region. An examination of uses, abuses, and preservation of natural resources and the physical environment will be included. ARD/IEP Committee determination required.
