Background
In September 2024, following the devastation of Tropical Cyclone #EntengPH in the Bicol Region, APSA, in collaboration with the Rotaract Club of Ateneo de Naga University and the Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants - ADNU Chapter, launched "TABANGON BICOL: Bayanihan Call for the Victims of Tropical Cyclone #EntengPH." This donation drive, which ran from September 2-6, 2024, collected monetary and in-kind donations for affected communities in Naga City and the wider Bicol Region.
Impact
The Tabangon Bicol initiative created a meaningful impact by providing immediate relief to communities in Naga City and the wider Bicol Region affected by Tropical Cyclone #EntengPH. Through the collective efforts of students, organizations, and partners, the project strengthened the spirit of bayanihan and solidarity in times of crisis. It not only addressed urgent needs through monetary and in-kind donations but also empowered the youth and engaged the public in rebuilding efforts, fostering hope and long-term resilience. Donations were officially turned over to the most impacted barangay in Naga City on September 8, 2024. Ultimately, the initiative contributed to regional recovery efforts and inspired continued compassion and community engagement beyond the relief drive.
