Background
On February 23, 2025, the Association of Psychology Students of Ateneo (APSA) extended the spirit of Valentine’s Day beyond traditional celebrations through an outreach activity with the children of Bantay Familia. Guided by the belief that love is best expressed through service, the event featured mini talks, interactive activities, and the distribution of hygiene kits. The initiative aimed to provide not only material assistance but also emotional support, reminding the children that they are seen, valued, and cared for.

Impact
The Valentine’s outreach with Bantay Familia created a meaningful space of joy, compassion, and connection. Through engaging activities and heartfelt interactions, APSA members helped uplift the children’s spirits while promoting empathy and kindness among volunteers. The event deepened students’ understanding of service rooted in love and reinforced the value of giving selflessly. Ultimately, it fostered a culture of genuine care and emotional awareness within the Ateneo community—proving that love, when shared, can truly make a lasting difference.
