Our Mission
The College of Humanities and Social Sciences is the stronghold of Bicol, Filipino, Catholic, and Jesuit education in the Ateneo de Naga University. The College provides liberal arts education through its core Theology and Philosophy curriculum, together with the general education courses. It offers specializations suited to students' interests and potentials that set the foundation for the appreciation of life and engagement in the development of Bicol, the Philippines, and the global society.
Through these core courses, the College works in collaboration with the University to form students into integrally developed persons for others who are characterized by competence, conscience, compassion, commitment to change, and Christ-centeredness.

A meaningful moment of dialogue and collaboration as CHSS faculty members engage in group discussions during a planning and reflection session—strengthening bonds and shaping the future of liberal arts education at Ateneo de Naga University.
