POLE VAULT
Two pits. Starting height will be determined at the coaches meeting. Starting heights will accommodate each teams third vaulters performances. WIAA guidelines will be followed. Boys will compete in the north pit and girls will compete in the south pit.
Suggested starting height will be 7’ for boys, then we will skip 7’6” and move to 8’. We will proceed with normal 6” increments from there.
We will do the same thing for girls, beginning with 6’ and moving straight to 7’.
HIGH JUMP
Two mats will be used. The boys and girls competition will run simultaneously. The bar will be moved up 2 inches at a time
SHOT PUT, DISCUS
Four throwers. Flights will be seeded by schools.
In both the discus and the shot put, throwers will throw two throws in a row, with only the further of the two measured. If both throws are close, both will be measured. They will then have two more throws when they return in the order, again only measuring the furthest throw.

Thrower’s Relay
The thrower’s relay will not count in team scoring, but will count as an athlete’s event. Medals will be awarded to the winning throwers relay team. Anyone in this race must compete in the shot put or discus event.
Who is Collete Kolstad?
Colette "Coke" Kolstad was an admired social studies teacher and coach at Preble High School. In addition, she served as our school's first female athletic director. While Colette loved and supported all Preble sports, it was clear that she always had a soft spot in her heart for track and field. Sadly, Colette passed away in 2019 after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's Disease. Colette is survived by her husband, Jerry Olbrich (Green Bay East High School's former athletic director). We are honored to dedicate the Preble Girls Relays in her honor.
Who is Rod Leadley?
Rod Leadley is a beloved former physical education and health teacher at Preble High School. In addition to coaching track and field, Rod was also an assistant coach for Preble's 1991 state champion volleyball team. Rod continues as our track team historian, and remains active supporting Preble Track and Field as well as our school's athletic hall of fame. We are extremely grateful for his continued support and dedication and have named the Preble Boys Relays in his honor.
