i3 Monthly Update
Differentiation with Digital Tools
Commonly Used Differentiation Tech Tools
This month’s focus on “Differentiation” is to help teachers reflect on data and connect the necessity of personalizing learner needs through varied learning activities.
Did you know that a way to differentiate easily in the classroom is using Kahoot? Google Forms can also create pathways for students that can be based on the answers students give. Many use Google Forms to create "Choose Your Own Adventure" stories; however, you could use the same idea to have different follow ups for varied answers. Incorrect answers could lead to reteaching while correct answers could lead to more challenging material. New to Google Forms? This Digital Learning presentation will introduce you to the basics!
Differentiation with Canvas?!?
Have you explored “Accommodating Students in Canvas”? Take a look at this post to discover many tips and tricks that Canvas offers for differentiation.
If you are new to Canvas or just getting comfortable with the LMS, Digital Learning has a pathway course that will help you learn about many of the options that are available in the Canvas pathway course: "Assignments and Discussions". (plus, you'll get CPE credit and a digital badge 😀). Click on the image to enroll.
Differentiation with SeeSaw?!?

New Tech!?!
Have you heard of Deck.Toys?
Deck.toys is a freemium tool that gives students their own teacher-created access to self-exploration. This can be used as a choice board to let students work at their own pace!
Read this blog entry on combining serious learning with fun that is at the heart of the Deck.Toys platform! The free for teachers version is great!
