Gr 8 students visit NTC and a variety of manufacturing businesses in the Wausau area and Stratford area.
This year's Stratford tours included JBT Corporation / A&B Process Systems and Wausau Wall and Window Systems.
Gr 6 students complete an application process to be chosen for this limited event held in spring.
Gr 7 and 8 STEAM at UW SP - a Science Technology Engineering Architecture and Math opportunity for Gr 7 and 8 students - offered annually, a day specific to boys typically in October / November and a day specific to girls typically in February - students may sign up for this opportunity. Gr 7 MIND TREKKERS - Central WI Science and Engineering Festival - sponsored by Michigan Technological University in partnership with Northcentral Technical College - offered every other year - all Gr 7 attends
Gr 8 Heavy Metal Tour - The HMT partners with CWIMMA, Mid-State Technical College, Nicolet College, North Central Wisconsin Workforce Development Board, Northcentral Technical College, Marshfield Chamber of Commerce, Wausau Chamber of Commerce, Portage County Business Council, Incourage Community Foundation and MCDEVCO. All Gr 8 attends in the fall

Badger Boys State - An American Legion program, Badger Boys State is a summer opportunity for male entering into their senior year relating to creation of a pseudo state government with 900 peers on a university campus. Junior boys may apply. Counselors promote this opportunity in the fall of the year for late fall registration for the following summer. See one of the counselors for more information.
Badger Girls State - An American Legion Auxiliary program, Badger Girls State is a summer opportunity for females entering into their senior year focused on developing future stateswomen in the science of government and leadership skill development. The program has grown to over 725 citizens yearly and continues to be a major project of the Department of Wisconsin’s American Legion Auxiliary.
