Student Art Gallery

Welcome to the Forest Park High School Student Art Gallery, where examples of student work are showcased throughout the year. Explore a wide variety of artwork created by students in various mediums, and at different skill levels. Check back often for updated exhibits, and enjoy discovering the creativity of Forest Park students.

The 2018 Spring Extravaganza was held on the 26th of April at 7:00 pm in the high schools commons area. Awards/ribbons were awarded to students in the high school visual art classes and a senior display plaque was presented.

Seniors Displays: During the Spring Extravaganza, seniors who took visual art courses throughout their high school career were encouraged to showcase their work. They created a space that highlighted their best creations from their high school courses.

Congratulation to Forest Park High School Freshman Magda Alvis for having her artwork selected for the International Violin Competition of Indianapolis. Magda was one of five students who had their artwork selected by the International Violin Competition from Region 5. Artwork from Region 5 consisted of 18 counties in southwestern Indiana. Magda's will receive $25 and Certificate of Achievement at the Gala Awards Ceremony on May 6th at Indiana Landmarks in Indianapolis. Her artwork advanced to the finals where a total of 30 Grand Award Winners will be chosen from the five Regions throughout the state. More than 21,000 students participated throughout the state. Ms. Tammy Taylor is the art educator at Forest Park High school.

The Krempp Gallery High School Exhibit showcased all area student artwork from March 1-12. March is Youth Art Month.

Creative Project "Your Mental Health Matters". This is a creative art project that continues the conversation about youth mental health and bullying. Students have a chance to win one of many cash prizes with a Grand Prize of $1000.00, and have artwork displayed at the Indiana Statehouse during the entire month of May 2018. The Division of Fine Arts at Brescia University hosted its 38th Annual Juried High School Art High School Art Exhibition for the region's most promising high school artists. There were approximately 450 pieces of art work submitted. Forest Park High School had nine student's work selected for the show. The show was November 1 through December 1. Awards were presented on Friday, December 1 at 6:30 pm. Students who had their work selected were seniors Haly Jones and Benessa Morton, juniors Marcus Pfrang, sophomores Kenlee Gehlhausen, Makayla McKim, Ali Pund, Madi Tretter and Mayson VanMeter. Freshman Magda Alvis. Brescia is a Liberal Arts University located in Owensboro, Kentucky.
