Cardinal Strength and Conditioning Program

What is the Cardinal Strength and Conditioning Program?

The Cardinal Strength and Conditioning Program is a new program at St. Anne Community High School! It is our goal to create an environment where student-athletes and the student body can have the opportunity exercise and develop a healthy lifestyle. We are looking to develop students both physically and mentally. Physical and mental training will prepare our student body for success in all their future endeavors!

Our Expectations!

1. Be Coachable

Being coachable means that you have the willingness to be correct and the act on that correction. While you are in the weightroom, you need to be an open sponge. There are coaches in the room for a reason. When they are speaking and demoing exercises, listen to what they have to say.

2. Give Your Maximum Effort

One of the easiest ways to get better is to give it 100%... consistently. The key: consistently. When you are in the weightroom give your maximum effort! The only way to see progress and improvement is to try your best at everything you start. Don't skip reps or take "the moment" off. Stay focused in with maximum effort!

3. Take Responsibility

Responsibility requires the understanding of having the duty and the focus to deal with something. In our weightroom, take responsibility yourself, others, and the room itself. Do not wait for one of the coaches to ask you to clean up your station, take responsibility and do it yourself! Acting like a champion starts with responsibility.

4. Never Quit

Things are going to go wrong. You will miss a lift, have an off day, or not be hitting the numbers that you wish. It is going to happen. We ask you to never quit. Never give up on what you are doing. There is a tomorrow and there is always another rep. If you you quit now, you will always quit! It doesn't hurt, it's just uncomfortable. Pay the man and never quit!
