DeWitt Public Schools has a classroom set of Chromebooks at every building in the district. Please use the learning materials listed below to work with the devices:
Log in to the Chromebook with your district provided Google Account: username@dewittschools.net
Do not manually switch the WiFi. It will automatically be set and should stay that way.
Remember to log off when you return the Chromebook. If you just shut the lid it will keep you logged in and others will be able to access your account.
All of the DPS Chromebooks and the DPS NeverWare CloudReady computers use a printing method called Cloud Print. With input from administrators and tech committee members tech staff have configured some of the printers to work. To print click the Settings button then Print. The printers available to you depend on your login rights.
Question: I don't see my classroom printer on the list of printers. Answer: We are currently configuring only newer larger machines for use with Cloud Print.
Question: My printing isn't coming out right, what can I do? Answer: Google's Cloud Print app is beta, which means that Google isn't even 100% done with it. Chromebooks are designed to share electronically, please consider click the Share button and sending your document to the recipient electronically. An alternative would be to use a teacher or computer lab machine to print.
Question: Can I print from home using my Chromebook? Answer: Yes. If you send a print job from your Chromebook to a DPS printer it will be there for you when you arrive at school. If you'd like to print at home you'll need to setup Google Cloud Print on a traditional computer as you aren't able to connect a printer directly to the Chromebook.
