Remove all library titles without copies:
Catalog>Update Titles>Remove Titles>
Leave all boxes checked.
Click on Preview. Remove titles if desired.
7. Fix Call #’s
Reports>Library Reports>Call # Reports
Create a report for the last 2 drop downs.
Put “a” in the “from box” and “z” in the “to box”.
Edit copies to fix them.
8. Titlewise Analysis
This will let Follett know everything you have in your collection so that when you order in the fall, you won’t unknowingly purchase duplicates.
Catalog>Titlewave
Click on “Submit” for uploading your collection for analysis. Do this every time you purchase new books from a vendor other than Follett.
9. Inventory
✅ Complete a library inventory every other year or every year.
✅ Complete a Resource inventory every year.
✅ Delete lost copies:
Admin > Inventory > View “Lost”
Choose a date to ‘Delete all copies marked “lost” on or before a specific date. Don't delete copies that were marked lost in the last year or two.
It is recommended you delete copies that were marked lost 3 years prior or later.
(You cannot view lost items unless all inventories are finalized)
10. Update handbook section on library procedures if needed
1. Renew staff iPads, resources, and textbooks if they are keeping them in their room.
2. AFTER you renew staff textbooks, then it’s safe to have student overdue textbooks be marked lost after one day overdue. If you end up having all of your staff textbooks get marked lost, there is a fix. Ask Shelby to help.

3. On the last day of school (or sooner), all items not returned should be marked lost in Destiny.

Edit “Regular”
Check the box "Overdue to lost" and specify 1 day. This can and should be changed back in the fall. You can even change this back as soon as students leave for the summer.
5. Once students have left for the year, you can change the Ceiling Date for the following year. (typically the ceiling date is the last day of school):

Edit each one for the following school year
6. Put books all away
7. Take down bulletin boards
8. Take down signs, calendars, etc.
9. Arrange care of plants over the summer
