Guidelines (Terms & Conditions) for BYB (Student Referral) program
Section I (General Guidelines)
1. BYB Program
BYB is a referral program wherein the bonafide students of GUNI are encouraged to voluntarily refer their eligible friends to take admission in various programs of U. V. Patel College of Engineering (UVPCE) & Institute of Computer Technology (ICT) and in return get rewarded with BYB incentive. The reference must be for Engineering admissions for B.Tech. First Year Engineering, Diploma to Degree in Second Year Engineering and Lateral Entry in Second Year Engineering. All GUNI students can participate to bring their friends under BYB.
2. Definitions and Interpretation
2.1 “Bonafide Student” means an individual student who is currently registered and enrolled with one of the full-time programs of Ganpat University;
2.2 “Eligible Territory” means a Passed Qualifying Exam and Domicile of Origin of the ‘Referee’ with must be from the state of Gujarat.
2.3 “BYB Incentive” means a specific and absolute amount in Indian Rupees which the ‘Referrer’ is entitled to receive as part of BYB program subject to applicable terms & conditions;
2.4 “Referrer” means a Bonafide Student of GUNI and voluntarily participates in the BYB Program by referring eligible friends to secure admission in U. V. Patel College of Engineering (UVPCE) & Institute of Computer Technology (ICT) for Engineering admissions only ;
2.5 “Referee” means a person who is…
2.5.1 from Eligible Territory, and
2.5.2 is not an existing or former student of GUNI, and
2.5.3 eligible to secure admission in one of the full-time Engineering programs of U. V. Patel College of Engineering (UVPCE) & Institute of Computer Technology (ICT), and
2.5.4 whom the Referrer has referred through the BYB program within Period of Validity.
3. BYB Academic Support Grant
The Referrer can get Academic Support Grant of Rs.5,000/- (Rupees Five Thousand Only) per Referee subject to terms and conditions as stated.
4. Period of Validity
This program is valid from 29th August 2020 until 31st October 2020. Any referrals made outside this period will not be eligible for a reward under this BYB program.
5. Matching with GUNI’s exisitng prospective leads
If the referee, as referred by the referrer is found to be already existing in the active database of GUNI’s prospective students (lead), such reference will stand null and void to be considered for BYB program.
6. Referrer Responsibilities
6.1 It is the Referrer’s responsibility to contact the referee in order to participate in this program;
6.2 The Referrer agrees that he or she will not make any false-representations, false-promises, false-warranties or other misleading-statements to the referee in order to avail the benefits of BYB program.
6.3 The Referrer is responsible for providing the full, current and accurate information to the referee so that the referee can make an informed decision.
Section II (Consideration Criteria)
The referee must have to apply online through the link as shared by the referrer with him or her;
In order to claim the admission, the Admission Fee Receipt used by the referee while applying online will be considered as final;
Referrer cannot claim any admission manually to receive BYB benefits;
In case the referee’s details are inserted by the referrer and if the referee’s details are already existing in an online application system, the system will consider the Admission Fee Receipt of the first (primary) source only. In such a case, the application form may be submitted but the system will not accept the claim of a matching referee (reference) through a secondary source.
The Referrer must upload the fee payment receipt of referral in the link received in reply email of registration conformation.
Section III (FAQs for clear understanding)
Is there any limit or cap of referring friends through the BYB program?
No, there is no such limit or cap. You can refer to as many candidates as you wish and can take maximum advantage of this program.
Being a Referrer, when do I stand eligible to receive the BYB Academic Support Grant?
Referrer will stand eligible to receive BYB Academic Support Grant when the candidate referred by him/her secures his/her admission in one of the full-time programs of U. V. Patel College of Engineering (UVPCE) & Institute of Computer Technology (ICT) and pays the applicable fee of the first semester.
When do I receive the BYB Academic Support Grant which I am entitled for?
The Referrer will receive BYB Academic Support Grant within 20 working days after the commencement of the second semester of the referee.
For example,
If your referred friends’ first semester of his/her respective programs end by 31st December 2020 and Second semester commences from 10th January 2021, the Referrer (You) will receive BYB incentive within 20 working days from 10th January 2021.
How will I receive my entitled BYB incentive?
Referrer will receive the entitle BYB incentive through cheque or bank transfer in referrer’s account.
Can I transfer my grant to anyone?
No.
What if my friend (referee) cancels his/her admission?
If the referee (your friend) cancels his/her admission at any time during his/her first semester (third semester in case of D2D), the referrer (You) will not receive the BYB incentive.
I am from Gujarat, Can i registered for BYB Scheme?
Yes, you can register in BYB Scheme but your reference student(s)/candidate(s) must be for Engineering student only.
The BYB Program rewards with a referral amount per referral admissions without any limit as following:
