Submission Guidelines

Any work - literary pieces and art - created by the submitting student is welcome. Please note that we do not publish anonymous submissions and that the student must be in grades 9-12.

The deadline for submissions for 2023-2024 is March 7, 2024.

We welcome any and all types of writing and art!

To Submit:

• Share or email attachments to Impressions@galwaycsd.org. If you need help, ask your English teacher or stop by Ms. O'Brien-Yetto's room (508).

Guidelines for Written Work:

• Typed Google document.

• Include a title for your piece.

• Maximum length: no more than five pages. It is fine to send an excerpt, if needed.

• Editing and proofreading prior to submission is appreciated. We reserve the right to lightly edit submitted work for clarity and readability. 

Guidelines for Artwork:

• For art created by hand: Take a clear, close photo of your art in a well-lit room (preferably in natural light). Be mindful of shadows. 

• For digital work: send the file.

• Keep in mind that the magazine is printed in black and white when choosing artwork to submit.
