The project-based learning (PBL) course provides students with structured opportunities to develop competencies of the scientific method, problem-solving development, product presentation, self-management, and teamwork.
Students will expand their opportunities through a combination of synchronous training and asynchronous preparation for various competitions. During the training, they will also master various techniques for creating project products: presentations based on Google Tools( Google Slides, Google Docs, Google Sheets), creating brochures and graphic illustrations based on canva.com/picsart, video editing based on iMovie/Inshot, animation projects of Stop Motion Studio, creation of channels for the distribution of their products on the platforms YouTube, Instagram.
Throughout the course, students will study the history of discovery, the mechanisms, and applications of scientific phenomena, inventions, and discoveries. They will get acquainted with popular scientific articles on the topic and create their own interpretations in the form of various projects based on them.
Course Aims:
Develop the skill of a scientific approach when considering various research problems
Develop teamwork skills when creating projects
Develop critical thinking skills when working with literature sources and creating products for presentation
Course Learning Outcomes:
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
LO1 Creates projects in the form of the following products: animation, presentations, videos, posters.
LO2 To understand scientific concepts and interpret them in the form of projects
LO3 Critically analyze and evaluate arguments and the evidence used to support those arguments
LO4 Construct informative presentations and persuasive arguments on topics of disciplinary and societal relevance using evidence and visual aids
LO5 Work effectively on pair and group projects within and cross-disciplinary fields
LO6 Demonstrate the characteristics of an independent and reflective learner by identifying and using appropriate resources to develop language, content knowledge, and digital capabilities
