About
As our name suggests, the Open Convergence Lab is dedicated to fostering talents with a mindset of interdisciplinary thinking, beyond the boundaries of specific domains. We conduct a wide range of research and practical projects by integrating data analysis and artificial intelligence technologies with the unique interests of individual researchers. Through hands-on, field-oriented research experiences, we strive to cultivate convergent talents who can contribute not only to academia, but also to industry and society at large.
As of May 2025, the OCL research team is actively participating in national R&D projects in collaboration with leading organizations such as Kakao Healthcare, the KHIS(Korea Health Information Service) under the Ministry of Health and Welfare, and SILVIA Healthcare, a domestic leader in MCI(Mild Cognitive Impairment). Our ongoing projects include reliability evaluation of medical healthcare chatbots, development of AI analysis algorithms using multi-modal data, and the creation of an AI-based mHealth app for child and adolescent mind care—contributing to real-world innovation in the healthcare domain.
