Postdoc position available

We announce the opening of a junior postdoc position (renewable up to two years) at the Trento Institute for Fundamental Physics and Applications (TIFPA http://www.tifpa.infn.it ) in Trento (Italy), under the supervision of Prof. Pietro Faccioli

SCIENTIFIC PROJECT

The scientific project – funded by the Technology Transfer department of the Italian Institute for Nuclear Physics (INFN)— concerns the development and application of state-of-the-art theoretical/ computational methods to characterize the dynamics and kinetics of conformational transitions (including folding and mis-folding) of proteins of biological interest. This research combines theory of stochastic processes, non-equilibrium statistical physics and machine-learning methods for the reduction of big-data. It will be performed in close collaboration with experimental biophysics groups in Trento, Europe and in the USA.
