Advanced Functional Materials Group

The group is led by Jiri Orava and the general interest (including related topics) is:

• Physico-chemical properties of metallic glasses, understanding liquid properties and its correlation with the glass formation. 

• Tailoring the relationship between structure and macroscopic properties of glasses and liquids.

• Glasses and glass-ceramics for optics and photonics.

• Electro- and hybrid-spinning of materials for environmental and energy harvesting applications  (triboelectric, photocatalytic, battery separators...).
