UCLA Graduate Student
Applied Mathematics
Welcome!
I am a Ph.D. candidate in applied mathematics at UCLA, where I'm advised by Professor Deanna Needell. I am interested in mathematical data science, particularly in developing and analyzing interpretable machine learning methods. My research focuses on matrix and tensor methods and fairness in machine learning algorithms.
Previously, I earned a B.S in Mathematics, B.S. in Physics, and a B.A. in Plan II Honors Liberal Arts from The University of Texas at Austin. I was advised by Professor José Alvarado and Philip Morrison.
I also jointly organize the UCLA Women in Math group, where I help run the Women in Math Mentorship Program and coordinate events for departmental students and postdocs.
