I am a PhD candidate in anthropology at UCLA. I am interested in transnationalism, state development, global capitalism, outmigration, and the growing gap between the rich and poor. I employ multispecies ethnography and visual methods, such as interactive art exhibitions, 360-degree video, and VR, to help understand the knowledge created from an experience. I work in Bhutan, where I research the impact of the country’s development policy on the everyday lives of nomadic herders and urban residents.
