Afterschool Programs

Benjamin Franklin High School is a public high school in the Highland Park neighborhood, approximately seven miles northeast of downtown Los Angeles. It is part of the Los Angeles Unified School District. This site offers a full High School experience beginning with a rigorous curriculum that focuses on A-G course requirements, Honors, AP and cooperative learning opportunities in every classroom. Through their partnership with UCLA and Beyond the Bell, they offer more than 35 clubs that meet before school, during lunch and after school.

The Magnet for Arts and Sciences at Sotomayor is a STEAM Magnet and a Linked Learning community that prepares students to graduate from high school and to succeed in a full range of options after graduation. We will use a multi-disciplinary approach that integrates project-based learning in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics, and Humanities.

The UCLA Community School prepares students for college, career, and engaged citizenship. As a K-12 school, UCLA-CS promotes stable relationships with students, and eliminates disruptive transitions from one school to another. UCLA-CS is a unique partnership between LAUSD, UCLA and the local community. This partnership enables the school to offer students enrichment activities at UCLA, and the opportunity to learn alongside university students and faculty working at the school. Student interest is also linked to California State Standards, Career and Technical Education, and A-G College preparatory requirements for entrance to the state’s public universities

Alexander Hamilton High School Hamilton Is Comprised of 4 Small Learning Communities and 2 Magnet Schools. The teachers, administration, staff, and parents of Hamilton High School believe in the dignity and worth of all Hamilton students. They are committed to creating and supporting small learning communities in order to maximize the achievement of their diverse student population.


Dymally High School is a WASC accredited LAUSD School in Local District South. Their vision is that every student will successfully complete high school and graduate career-ready and college prepared in order to become a productive member of the local and global community. Students at Dymally High School students can receive their AA Degree and High School Diploma simultaneously.

Nava College Preparatory Academy places the students at the center of their mission, which is to prepare them for College and Careers. Nava College Preparatory Academy will ensure a high quality education by providing a curriculum program that is designed to equip all students with high rigor, sufficient knowledge, and skills to succeed in entry-level, credit-bearing college courses, or pathway-oriented careers. Students will benefit from the personal learning environments by giving access to academics across the curriculum through the arts and humanities. Students, parents, teachers and the school leadership will advocate high expectations and success of all members of the school community.

University High School Charter provides students with access to a challenging, standards-based curriculum focused on preparing students for the rigors of college and professional careers. To support students in college and career success, Uni's Instructional Focus is that all students will skillfully be able to communicate evidence-based arguments.
