About SoCal Fluids

The Southern California Flow Physics Symposium (usually referred to as SoCal Fluids), has been held annually since 2007 (except for 2020).

The purpose of the annual symposium is to bring together researchers from universities throughout Southern California, working in all areas of fluid dynamics, for a one-day exchange of ideas in an informal and collaborative atmosphere. The symposium presents a low-pressure environment in which students get to practice their presentation skills on their ongoing work in short APS-style presentations.

SoCal Fluids XVII will be held April 13, 2024 at UC Irvine.
