2019 NACLO at UCLA

Thank you for your interest in the 2019 North American Computational Linguistics Olympiad at UCLA! NACLO is a fun contest for high school and middle school students who are interested in solving linguistic puzzles. Through these puzzles, students are introduced to the diversity and consistency of language, while exercising logic skills. Winners of NACLO are eligible to compete in the International Linguistics Olympiad. Open Round - January 24th, 2019

The first round of NACLO is the Open Round, open to any high school and middle school students interested in competing. High scorers of the Open Round will be selected to advance to the Invitational Round.

Location: UCLA, Campbell Hall 2122A

Time: 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM (PT). Plan to arrive at least 15 minutes early before the competition begins.

Invitational Round - March 7th, 2019

The second round of NACLO is the Invitational Round, which is open to the top performers from the Open Round. From the Invitational Round, students will then be selected to join the national team and represent the United States at the international level.
