Ibalú Alba is a self-trained visual and performance artist with a background in social sciences and activist anthropology. She holds an undergraduate degree in Sociology and a masters in Anthropology and Social Change. Having been uprooted from her home in Bolivia at age fifteen to move to the United States, and currently residing in Berlin, her performative works largely deal with the (collective) subconscious, sublimated longing, and the liminal spaces of the immigrant experience and cyborg identities.
