Discussion boards offer students a platform to interact and share ideas. Since the COVID-19 pandemic, many faculty have incorporated online discussion board assignments to replace in-class participation. This breakout group will discuss the advantages and disadvantages of the discussion board platform and ways to assess online participation. As a group, we will create a shareable document outlining various assessment methods, modules, and approaches with the option to discuss successful projects and assignments that promote creativity and critical thinking.
