The Best Poster Award from 2024 IEEE STRATUS Conference


Shayan  received the best poster award from the 2024 STRATUS Conference for the research entitled "Automated Thermal Anomaly Detection through Deep Learning-based Semantic Segmentation of Building Envelope Images" which has been co-authored with Dr. Crovella and Dr. Razkenari.  The 2024 STRATUS Conference is the 7th conference of STRATUS that brought together academics, industry representatives, and domain specialists to share perspectives on this rapidly evolving topic. The emergence of low-cost and easy-to-use Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS), commonly referred to as drones, has led to an explosion of their use for numerous applications. In particular, these new platforms have enabled new imaging and earth remote sensing technologies and applications previously unavailable due to the high cost of manned aircraft or satellites.
