SPED Resources

Special education is a service a student can receive that celebrates their successes and provides support to help a student grow in their identified area of weakness. As the students who receive services all have individualized plans, I do not have lesson plans posted. If you have questions about the special education program, curriculums, expectations or process, please feel free to contact me via email tschroeer@g.sebeka.k12.mn.us

Sebeka Public schools receives special education services through the Freshwater Education District. Click here to view their website and resources for special education.

About Us...

Hello! My name is Tiffany Tobkin and I am in my fifth year as the Elementary Special Education teacher in Sebeka. I graduated from Minnesota State University Moorhead with an Elementary Inclusive Education degree with a Special Education, Developmental Cognitive Delay (DCD) license. After my first year of teaching, I realized how much more I needed to learn to better understand and teach my students. I enrolled in the Master's Program at MSUM and graduated from that program this past Spring of 2016. My Master's Degree is in special education with an emphasis on Autism Spectrum Disorders. While I went back, I also attained the Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD) and Emotional Behavioral Disabilities (EBD) licenses. Enough about the schooling already...Here's the good information!

This past summer I got married! There is so much planning for a day that goes by so quickly. We enjoyed our summer together attempting home renovations and raising a few calves. My students, my coworkers and I are all getting used to Mrs. Tobkin. As for my life as a Schroeer, I grew up in Perham, MN and am still very close with my four siblings and parents. Summer time in Minnesota is the best and I try everything I can to be outside doing anything such as taking walks, riding bike, reading and grilling. Music, singing and dancing are also strong loves in my life. I have found that Zumba is my absolute favorite way to be active as I am in my second year of teaching the course as a certified instructor. Nothing gets me sweating more than pop songs with choreographed dance steps!

I love my job, working with students, learning together and hearing about their new ways to solve old problems. I also enjoy hearing from parents too! If you have any questions, comments or concerns, please contact me via email tschroeer@g.sebeka.k12.mn.us or by phone at 218-837-5101 ext 109.
