How to Start Homeschooling

STEP 1 - File your notice of intention to homeschool with Riverhead Central School District within 14 days of pulling your child from their current school (or anytime, if your child is not currently enrolled in a school.) This may be submitted at homeschool@g.riverhead.net .

STEP 2 - Once you have received confirmation and the Individualized Home Instruction Plan form (IHIP), you have four weeks to complete and submit your information. This may also be submitted via homeschool@g.riverhead.net

STEP 3 - Choose your curriculum. (In New York, homeschool curriculum choice is up to the parents.)
