All-Region Honor Orchestra

Being selected to be a member of the All-Region Orchestra is like being chosen to be on the All-Star sports team. Students from all over North Texas play a scale and three excerpts from three different pieces at the All-Region Audition on October 20. They will be ranked on their preparedness and musicality by a panel of judges (hidden behind a curtain!). The top students on each instrument are selected to be a member of the All-Region Orchestra. On December 7 & 8 all of the All-Region Musical All-Stars gather together for rehearsals and then perform a concert. Participating in the All-Region process is a huge honor. Participating in the All-Region process will ensure a wonderful experience as a performer and give each student the opportunity to display the work they put into their scales and All-Region Music. These auditions are an essential part of every student’s development on their instrument.
