TO RUN FOR SENIOR CLASS OFFICER:

All officer candidates must have a minimum combined GPA of 85.0. The student must have no failing semester grades the semester prior to running for the office or while holding office.
During the current school year, the student must (a) have no more than one “B” in citizenship during any nine weeks period prior to the election, (b) have no “C” in citizenship during any nine weeks period prior to the election, and (c) not have been placed in AEP, CMLC, suspended, or expelled.
All candidates must have been enrolled in the attendance area for that high school for one full semester preceding the semester in which elections are held
All candidates must distribute the online recommendation link to 4 current classroom teachers and to 1 additional faculty member (club sponsor, counselor, etc.). A score of less than 4 in two or more categories from two or more teachers will deem the student ineligible for running for a class officer position. Furthermore, a negative response on the final two questions from two or more teachers will disqualify the student from running for office.
Have a principal submit the online Principal's Citizenship form
Have a one-on-one interview with the senior class administrator
All candidates must attend a meeting on candidate expectations
Create & submit a campaign video to show during elections
Final candidates will be chosen based on a combination of the senior class vote and administrator panel interview

Must be a current full time LHHS student
Meetings twice a month
Members are expected to earn 15 service points per activity period (quarter) to remain a member in good standing. Service points are earned by showing up for meetings, participating in activities – such as spirit days, wearing a theme at sporting events, or making homecoming decorations, or by donating items needed for projects.
TO RUN FOR STUCO OFFICER:
Attend the required meeting to learn about the application process and district requirements
Must have an 85+ cumulative average
Obtain teacher recommendations from 4 core teachers and 1 additional teacher.
On a scale of 1-5, if the student receives a score of 3 or below by 3 or more teachers they are ineligible to hold office
Must be a full time student at LHHS the semester prior to running for office
Must be an active member of Student Council
Create & submit an election video
The entire student body votes
Students are required to be the STUCO 4th period class
